t.A.T.u. spent the whole day in Nagoya where Lena and Yulia continued interaction with Japanese mass-media (CTV channel, Zip FM radio etc.) t.A.T.u. were staying at Nagoya Tokyu Hotel.

t.A.T.u. Cancelled at the Last Minute Again?!
The popular Russian duo t.A.T.u., currently visiting Japan, suddenly cancelled a performance at an event in Nagoya on the 18th. The two girls had planned to perform at three clubs in the city that day. According to the band's Japanese spokesperson, when they visited the first venue, they cancelled the performance because the stage preparations were inadequate and there were only about 20 people in the audience, so "they really weren't the sort of conditions in which t.A.T.u. could sing." They went to the other two places. The performances had also been announced on the official homepage of the two girls. According to one of the audience, the performance had already started when the cancellation was announced. The two girls also caused a storm in 2003 when they cancelled a TV performance. Their spokesperson stressed that, "This time it wasn't down to a selfish whim on their part."

t.A.T.u. Cancel at the Last Minute Again Due to "Small Audience"
The chaotic Russian female duo t.A.T.u. cancelled at the last minute the live performance that they had been planning to do at the Holiday club in Nagoya late on Friday night.

The club had dubbed the event "Russian Night" and had set up a special stage to welcome t.A.T.u. as guests. They had also announced the event in advance. According to the club management, someone connected with the duo told them immediately before the performance was due to start that they were cancelling the performance, because "the audience is too small".

The two girls came to Japan on the 15th to promote a DVD and gave a live performance in the capital. Three years ago, during their first visit to Japan, they caused a furore with their last-minute cancellation of an appearance on a TV programme. This time they said that, "That's all in the past. Let's forget it. This time there will be nothing but good things."

After all these rumours in press tatu-japan.com cleared the situation on their site:

We would like to provide you with further information.
Yesterday, there were articles in the press entitled Another Last-minute Cancellation?!, but as there were some misconceptions of the facts behind the incident, we, as t.A.T.u.s management office, would like to explain the situation.
First of all, with regard to the promotion in Nagoya, the interview with Chunichi Newspaper, the interview and recording with CTV, and the live performance and recording for ZIP-FM all went off smoothly.
After that, since the girls were coming all the way to Nagoya, we had set up performances from the perspective of t.A.T.u. as special guests at various events aimed at interacting with Nagoya fans at clubs with which we have a close relationship.
However, partly because we could not ascertain from the various owners whether or not the promotion schedule would go according to plan, we decided to just respond to situations as they arose (with regard to times, the number of people in the audience, compatibility of equipment, etc.)
The problem was that we were actually thinking about doing a live performance at Club Holiday, which was the first one that we visited. However, partly because it was earlier than the time when people usually gather at Club Holiday, we talked to the club owner and decided together that we should not do a live performance when there were only a dozen or so people there other than the staff; regretfully, but with the consent of both sides, we went on to the next club.
However, although we and Club Holiday provided the fans with information about the next club we were visiting, we have received reports that we caused inconvenience to some of the fans.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the fans whom we have inconvenienced.
The girls say that they wish to continue to treat their all their fans with the greatest affection in their contacts with them.
We hope that all fans will continue to follow t.A.T.u. as enthusiastically and warm-heartedly as they have done until now.
